This workshop covers prepping and operating a sewing project with your domestic sewing machine. Students will come away with practical knowledge and skills for any sewing project.
What we’ll make: a mask from upcycled materials
Experience level: no prerequisites required
Materials:
Sewing machine
Flat surface to work on (desk, cutting table, or other)
Iron & board
Fabric scissors
Sewing pins
Measuring tape/ruler
Seam ripper
An unwanted piece of nonstretch, pre-washed woven fabric
Elastic strap
Nose clip material
Thread
Print of the provided pattern.

Rotary cutter
Fabric marking tool
Hand-sewing needles
Universal sewing-machine needles
