This registration is for the complete series of Sustainable Fashion: Upcycling for Newbies with Ophir El-Boher. For individual workshops, please register through those listings.

This course introduces newcomers to both fashion practices and sustainability, and covers their interaction– sustainable fashion! We will introduce the wicked problem of fashion’s pollution, and use design thinking practices to tackle it. Focusing on Upcycling as a current solution, students will learn and practice the strategies and techniques of the upcycled-fashion design pieces from start to end.

5. Textile reclaiming
6. Assembling a garment
7. Finishing techniques for apparel
8. Fashion Frankenstein

Prerequisites: No experience needed. Will require a sewing machine.
